Sources before superlatives
We start with manufacturer announcements and product pages. We retain source records behind each researched entry, distinguish announcement from availability, and keep unknown details visibly unknown. Manufacturer performance claims remain claims, not independent test results.
Product overviews, honestly labelled
Our source-led overviews may be prepared with AI assistance and checked against the underlying evidence. We do not claim to have run in a shoe unless an actual tester and testing method are identified. We do not manufacture test scores or reproduce unverified first-person reviews.
Photographs and illustrations
Official product photographs show the real model. Our studio images place the original photographed shoe into an AI-generated setting. We preserve its photographed shape, colourway, branding and viewpoint, with only uniform resizing and placement. The original manufacturer photograph remains linked on the product page. Generated settings are never evidence of product performance.
What the directory covers
The 2026 index tracks new road and trail models from the main running brands. A colour refresh does not count as a new model. Regional availability, limited drops and upcoming releases are distinguished where the source gives those details. Research is ongoing; this is not a guarantee that every regional release has been captured.
The archive
Older Run Rotation entries are preserved so existing links keep working. Their details are checked against manufacturer information and contemporary reporting. Unconfirmed specifications and dates remain unknown; older confirmed releases are grouped in the archive. Old prices are historical reference values.
